With Grade 1.2 we had the amazing opportunity to try out an iPod Touch to video the children performing 'Little Red Riding Hood' and 'Hensel & Gretel'. The children did a fantastic job. We have been working with many different cameras over the years. Most of the time we had trouble with the sound, since the children don't always speak loudly, or there was never enough space on the memory cards to record several videos and often they were complicated to use. The iPod Touch is basically one tool that solved all the problems at once! There was no problem with the sound, even from a distance the children were still understandable; thanks to 8GB capacity we managed to put several videos on and it was really simple to connect the iPod and simply copy and paste the videos on our computer! We had a great time using them and hope to get more chances to use the iPod Touch, not only for videoing, but also for taking pictures and voice-recordings!
Click on the links below and enjoy two of the plays, recorded with the iPod Touch.
